Back Forty Beer Company

To ring in 2018, Back Forty Beer Company in Gadsden is launching a series of monthly beer dinners at the brewery. All four courses are developed by the in-house test kitchen to pair well with different Back Forty beers. January’s dinner brings together hearty winter flavors like a beef and barley stew paired with their Truck Stop Honey Brown Ale. —Clair McLafferty

Appetizer:
Cajun Deviled Eggs 
*creole mustard, bacon, blackened seasoning
Moonshine Bloody Mary

First Course:
Gumbo Z'herbes
*vegetarian cajun stew with kale, turnip greens, tomatoes, spinach
Mexican Style Lager 5.8%

Second Course:
Shrimp Po' Boy Sliders
*french bread sliders, fresh tiger shrimp, shredded lettuce, tomato, remoulade
Galaxy IPA 6.8%

Third Course:
Crawfish Etouffee
*crawfish stew with andouille sausage and root vegetables over jasmine rice
Freckle Belly IPA 7.5%

Dessert:
Bananas Foster
*fried banana, brown sugar, dark rum sauce served with vanilla bean ice cream
Kudzu Porter 5.5%
