Lucy Buffett, owner of LuLu's restaurant in Gulf Shores, stocks her home kitchen with the best organic blueberries, heirloom tomatoes and grass-fed beef she can find. Here are six of her favorite local places to shop.

Ordonez Produce (Fairhope): LuLu's goes through an astonishing 50,000 tomatoes a year: 20,000 red and 30,000 green (for deep-frying). “We buy tomatoes from Christen Ordonez every summer," Buffett says. "She plants a whole field for us.”

Krupinski Farm (Foley): “They have an honor system," Buffett says. "Sometimes you just grab what you want and put the money in the box. It’s sweet.”

Allegri Farm Market (Daphne)

White Oak Pastures (Bluffton, Ga.): “For many years we served their grass-fed beef in the restaurant," Buffett says. "Owner Will Harris is great.”

Burris Farm Market (Loxley)

Weeks Bay Plantation (Fairhope): This plantation is known for its acres of organic blueberry bushes. "Owner Tynes Stringfellow is doing some extraordinarily innovative things with vertical growing of heirloom tomatoes in the greenhouse," Buffett says. "They are as good in January as they are in June.”
