Dothan's 2nd Annual New Year's Eve Peanut Drop
Send out 2017 with a giant peanut in Downtown Dothan, also known as the Peanut Capital of the World. During the city's 2nd Annual New Year's Eve Countdown, you can listen to live music and eat snacks in the festival-like atmosphere leading up to the main event at midnight. In Pioneer Park, a lighted, suspended peanut will drop from the sky and the action will be enhanced by a fireworks show.
